Probably one of the ultimate Lego Minifigs to appear were the Gentle Giant Marquette, these statues tower over the little fellows normal 4cm guys by being 12 to 13cm tall. Five were produced by the studios, four of which were limited and highly sort after, the first one hundred pieces for three having “chase heads”…
Darth Vader, this was limited to 1000 units and like the rest that follow all modelled like the characters from the second Star Wars Game…
Stormtrooper, again limited to 1000 units. Both this and Darth were the first to be released, by the time I knew about them both had been sold out… But then I got wiff of this guy and the third release…
I had to wait and age before Boba Fett was released, although the original price was reasonable, the duty fee’s knocked me for six, but in the end it was worth it and my favourite out of the five. 1500 units of these were produced.
This Blackhole Trooper is the rare one out of the lot, (the chase head first one hundred Darth and ‘Trooper aside), only 500 hundred of these were made and from what I gather only available from a Japanese convention back in 2007. Apart from the Chase Head versions, this one carries the most clout in eBay.
Finally, everyone could have a Pilot Luke, this wasn’t limited and for sale from American Toys R Us. This was also the last of the Gentle Giant’s foray into Lego Star Wars Statues.
