One of great visuals of the “Classic” movies to me is the posters, they’re part of the magic and mythos for our generation of the time. Today original posters for the films can fetch hefty sums of money, I myself have the blue pre-Jedi American re-release of Star Wars poster with the infamous “Revenge…” tag in the corner, it was as close as I could get to one of the original movie posters without financially ruining myself.
Those iconic posters today still inspire others to copy the style and pay homage to them, some are parodies, some gentle and some quite savage. Others just using the concept for unrelated works, be it some kind of advertising or for some other artist purposes. Below I’ve collected some of these, in respect of the makers of these images I’ve deliberately reduced the size and links added to them where possible. To kick this page off, here are two I’ve found tying in with this site.
From the guys behind Family Guy, who are such massive fans they’ve produced their own remakes with the cast of the show and made these specials;
Another animated show have also made their specials dedicated to the Classic movies, Adult Swims Robot Chicken;

From the celebrated artist Matt Busch, here he faithfully recreates the trilogy posters with a macabre twist;
This next one I don’t know too much about, but from searches I gather this is a game, here’s a link for it, supposedly LucasArts was behind it;

Fanboys is a movie from 2008 about a group of friends on a quest to steal Episode I from George;
Probably one of the weirdest pieces of fan remakes I’ve come across is Store Wars, this five minute remake is set in a grocery store and all the characters are various vegetables and foodstuffs!

These are various images found, based around the original poster, but exchanging the characters for their own, the first one is Zelda another game, the second, is from something called Level 42 and the last is a cover for Gargoyles the comic;
Here’s probably the weirdest one of the lot for Seinfeld!
Here are two short films that I’ve found on starwarsblog. Both are in answer to short film competitions, the first is called “Star Wars in a Notebook”, you can see the movie here. The second is called “Sports Wars”, again you can view it here and I’ve got say I really enjoyed this one and want more.
Disney for some time have been linked to Star Wars, there even several parody statues of some Disney characters that I quite like.

Do you know of any other Classic Star Wars parody posters? Let me know so I can add them here.
